Green waste collections will begin again in Honiton from next week.
East Devon District Council will begin collecting green waste from residents in Honiton next week.
Fortnightly collections will resume during the week commencing May 11 and your collection will take place on your usual scheduled day.
Some collections will start the following week as it is a two- weekly cycle.
A spokesperson for the council said: "Following the recent disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, we are now in a position to resume green waste collections.
"We will endeavour to collect green waste on your normal scheduled dates, however, please be aware that due to reduced staff numbers this may not always be possible.
"If we are unable to make your scheduled collection, please put your green bin out on your next collection date. We do appreciate everyone's patience during such challenging times.
"Please note that our crews are unable to collect any green waste from additional containers or sacks. Please put all green waste in the green bin provided and store any additional green waste for your next collection."
The council have automatically added a three-month extension to all green waste subscriptions, to cover the coronavirus suspension period.
The spokesperson added: "This will ensure that all customers receive value for money. We are not currently able to take any new green waste subscriptions.
"If you would like a new subscription please contact us on 01395 571515 or email [email protected] to register your interest and we will contact you once we are able to take new subscriptions."
The news comes after Devon County Council announced yesterday that it will be reopening Sutton Barton Recycling Centre near Honiton on Monday.
