Update: A30 to remain closed until 7pm

The A30 is currently closed

2pm: The A30, which has been closed since 8am today (Thursday 12 January) is now not expected to open until at least 7pm.

11:30am: Road is now expected to be cleared at approximately 4pm.

10:15am: The road closure is expected to continue until approximately 2.30pm.

9.15am: Take care on the roads today and allow lots of extra time.

There is heavy traffic on all the roads near the A30 as cars try and avoid the closure. Heavy rain is also contributing to delays.

8.20am: Part of the A30 near Honiton is closed to due to an accident.

The A30 eastbound is closed, between the M5 and the junction with the A375.

The road to Exeter from Honiton is open.

The are currently long queues on the surrounding roads.

The road is expected to reopen at approximately 11am.
