Devon Connect hopes to bring communities together

East Devon District Council is working in association with Devon Voluntary Action (DevA) to run a free Zoom Café where you can find out about new initiative Devon Connect.

Devon Connect is a new resource that aims to bring local communities and charities together. The platform is a free space for individuals to find out about volunteering opportunities and events across the region.

The online hub is being developed by DeVa and it is hoped it will become a great asset to local communities.

Charities, social enterprises and individuals will be able to create their own content and make useful links with other groups. For example, a charity could share a post asking for a volunteer to come forward or a person could go to the hub to find out about local charities that could help someone in need.

The Zoom Café is taking place on Monday 23 May between 4.30pm and 5.30pm.

You can book your space by emailing [email protected]
