Honiton Carers met on Wednesday 29 March at The Kitchen at Combe Garden Centre for one of their usual "Cuppa and Chats".

The Lions Club has kindly donated a huge 1kg Easter Egg for Honiton Carers to raise funds for our support group and having sold all 100 squares we decided to draw the winner at today's meeting.

Helen Turner from the Beavers & Cubs attended our meeting having brought along 40 individual flower pots decorated by the Jose group, all containing some beautiful fresh daffodils.

Helen presented one each to all our carers who were absolutely thrilled to bits with this very kind gesture.

Helen also drew the winning ticket for the Lions Easter Egg which was number 71. The lucky winner was Mr. Sue Feeney.

I had the pleasure of presenting the Easter Egg to Mrs. Feeney this afternoon and she was needless to say absolutely overjoyed at having won such a wonderful Easter Egg.

Our sincere thanks go to both The Lions Club for their generous donation and to Helen Turner and her boys and girls for the gorgeous flower pots. Honiton Carers really appreciate all their wonderful support.
