Honiton Carers are enjoying our "Connecting You" experience so very much.

This week we caught the train to Newton Abbot, we had to change at Exeter St. Davids and take the Cross Country train to Newton Abbot.

From there we walked to the beautiful Decoy Country Park and back to Forde Park where we had refreshments in the wonderful Pavilion Cafe.

What a gem of a place that is. Lovely staff, service and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

We decided we would love to come back in the summer as sadly it was too muddy to walk around the beautiful lake.

Lovely park though and a totally lovely learning curve for us all, you need to be prepared for everything despite trying to plan every details in advance.

It was the first time we experienced changing trains and platform, to go on the Cross Country train, having a train cancelled and making quick changes to fit in with the programme for the day. All very exciting.

If you are an unpaid carer and would like to join our carers group please get in touch with Winnie Cameron on 07974 636926 or email [email protected], you will be guaranteed a warm welcome at any of our venues.
