On Saturday night (October 26) it was the turn of Honiton to host the last carnival in the East Devon circuit - and what a wonderful event it was!

Everything fell beautifully into place, with the weather clearing to allow the floats to shimmer and sparkle in all of their glory under a clear, still night sky.

People flocked to the High Street to line the streets and watch the parade make its way from the line-up position on Ottery Moor Lane near the football field, all the way up to the roundabout at the top of town.

There were some spectacular entries; ablaze with lights, pumping music, beautiful costumes and fantastic dancing.
