A group of students and staff from Honiton Community College sixth form are gearing up to walk and run 350 miles in relay – without leaving their college field.

The distance corresponds to the perimeter of Devon, and the route will be marked out on the field in the shape of the county, complete with landmark towns.

A total of 2,400 laps will be needed, between the members of the team, to clock up the 350 miles, and it will all be done within 24 hours, to raise money for the FORCE Cancer Charity.

The team will start their challenge at 1pm on Thursday, June 24, and finish at 1pm on Friday.

A spokesperson for the group said: "This is a huge challenge for all of us, particularly in the early hours of Friday morning, but we hope that with everyone's support we can raise some money for this amazing charity and to support all of the work they do."
