The Platinum Jubilee Committee are looking for anyone who lives within the Parish of Honiton who was born in 1926, the same year as the Queen.

Dave Retter, Honiton's Town Crier, told Nub News that the Committee would like to hear from anyone born in 1926, and it would be especially remarkable if there was anyone born on 21 April 1926, as this is the Queen's birthday.

He would also love to hear from anyone born on the day of the Queen's coronation, which was 2 June 1953, or February 6, 1952, the day she became Queen.

If you were born on or around these dates, or you know someone who was, please get in touch with Dave Retter on 07761 926 628.

Honiton Town Council are organising a range of events to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, when she will celebrate 70 years on the throne.

There is a four-day bank holiday commencing on Thursday June 2 and events are being held across the county.

Events in Honiton will include a Jubilee Fun Run, lighting a beacon on Roundball Hill, The Big T and a Jubilee Street Market.
