Honiton firefighters helped deal with a blazing van in a hedgerow on Saturday, June 19.

They were called out at 7.18am, along with crews from Ottery St Mary, to the incident at Venn Cross, Knowle Cross Lane, Whimple.

They found the van burning fiercely and used a hose reel jet and compressed air foam to put the flames out, with two of the firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the police and the owner of the vehicle.
