The Honiton Gymnastics Club is hoping to move to bigger and better premises next year.

The organisation has had an offer accepted on a larger premises on Reme Drive, which is just 300m from its current location next to Homebase.

The potential new location is larger and would allow the club to provide more services, as well as practical facilities such as changing rooms.

The Honiton Gymnastics Club offers children's and adult gym classes as well as the popular Turbo Tots toddler groups

Currently the contract in the club's existing premises expires in January 2024, when they could be required to find a new location.

A statement from Honiton Gymnastics Club said: "Securing a new home is fantastic news for Honiton Gymnastics Club, our members and the Honiton community.

"It is something that the club has been dreaming about for 39 years and board members have been working on since we developed our existing constitution 10 years ago."

£1.5 million of funding will need to be secured and the club will be working closely with British Gymnastics, Sport England Consultants and the Charity Bank.

To help with next year's move, the club is asking the residents of Honiton for help with getting the new premises ready - as cheaply as possible due to their budget limitations.

Help will be needed with installing a new heating system, toilets, changing rooms, creating a gallery for spectators and building a purpose built café.
