An area of Brand Road in Honiton is set to be the site of a 'rewilding' project.

It comes as part of East Devon District Council's focus on rewilding, which aims to help wildlife and improve green spaces.

The area is reportedly already home to a family of hedgehogs. Soon, it will see 'bug hotels' (a makeshift shelter designed to help insects and other small creatures reproduce and take refuge), a compost bin, and more.

The project is being headed up by a small group of residents in Brand Road and with the help of Streetscene officers from East Devon District Council.
