Honiton: Here are the latest crime figures for your area

The police have released the latest crime figures for Honiton.

There were 73 crimes reported in Honiton in April 2022, the latest month for which figures are available. In March 2022 there were 51 crimes reported.

The highest recent crime rate was in May 2021 when 82 crimes took place. Since then, crime rates have been falling in the town, but they have recently started to increase.

There were nine cases of anti-social behaviour and 13 cases of criminal damage and arson.

Honiton experienced 22 violent and sexual offences. In the past year there were 222 violent and sexual offences.

4 burglaries took place, 5 cases of shoplifting and 9 'other thefts.'

4 public order offences took place and there were 3 bicycle thefts.

Finally, there were 2 possessions of weapons, one drug offence and one crime listed as 'other.'

67 per cent of these crimes remain under active investigation.
