The Mayor of Honiton, Cllr Serena Sexton presented a bottle of champagne to a local business owner for her Hot Pennies window display.

Honiton's Town Crier Dave Retter was also present.

Lorraine Leece of L'Reigns Hair Salon was presented with a bottle of champagne by Cllr Serena Sexton to celebrate her window display for the Hot Pennies ceremony, which took place on 26 July.

She displayed a gloved flower pole, which was made by the The Beaver Scouts from 1st Honiton Scout Group.

The historic Hot Pennies event has been running for more than 800 years. The ceremony involves throwing coins out of the windows of Honiton's pubs for children to collect. This year hundreds of people filled the High Street to take part.

Lorraine Leece opened her hair salon, which is on Honiton High Street, in 2020.
