Honiton: Neil Parish MP votes for Covid passports amid Tory revolt
Tiverton and Honiton MP Neil Parish voted with the government yesterday (Tuesday 14 December) on the issue of Covid passports.
The vote saw as many as 99 Conservatives rebel against Johnson's government, but the measures were passed with the support of Labour MPs.
Neil Parish MP previously said that he would back the government's plans: "As for vaccine passports, these measures do not mean everyone wanting to attend large events will be forced into having two jabs, as a negative lateral flow test can be provided as an alternative."
The new rules mean that you may need to produce an NHS Covid Pass if you want to get into certain venues and large events.
You can get a Covid pass if you have had two doses of the vaccine, or have proof of a recent negative test.
