Road works are scheduled on the A373

Temporary traffic lights will in place from January 10 on the A373 to allow essential drainage work to take place.

The work is being carried out near Hembury Fort.

The A373 runs from Honiton towards Collompton, via Hembury Fort and Awliscombe.

The work will begin on Monday 10 January and will continue until Friday 4 February.

Traffic flows are lighter on this road at this time of year, so it is hoped that disruption will be kept to a minimum.

Traffic lights will be in place 24 hours a day during the work scheme for the safety of site workers and the public.

In addition to this, Buckerall Lane, which is a side road running adjacent to the A373 junction, will be closed for four days from Monday January 10.
