Honiton: New Pine Pony Sports Bar on High Street is already proving a hit
A new bar on Honiton High Street is proving very popular with locals and visitors.
The Pine Pony Sports Bar opened fully on March 18. It is located in the previous spot of Bruv's Bar, which was forced to close earlier this year.
Pine Pony Sports Bar will show all the key sporting events on the TV as well as offering a darts board and a pool table.
The new bar serves English breakfasts, butties, toasted sandwiches and basket meals including cod bites, scampi, chicken stripes and vegetarian sausages.
They will also host a range of events including karaoke and pool competitions.
Laura Ede has taken over the premises licence and she is a co-director with Shannon Hagon. Shannon used to be the manager at Bruv's Bar, which was owned by her parents.
Laura told Nub News more about the bar: "We felt the town needed something along the lines of a Sports Bar.
"We have several screens, a darts board and a top of the range pool table which has not been left alone since we opened the doors on Saturday 18 March!
"Trade has been going a lot better than expected, so much so we had to get an emergency order of barrels!
"We've reopened the kitchen offering a small menu to start off with.
"We've been extremely lucky to form an amazing team and have everything crossed to make this journey successful."
The Pine Pony Sports Bar is open from 10am. It is located at 102 High Street, Honiton.
