There has been a spate of homophobic and racist graffiti on premises in Honiton and the local police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The incidents have taken place on Ottery Moore Lane, which is near Mountbatton Park. The offences are believed to have been committed between 3 June and 4 July 2022.

On Friday 8 July police arrested three males on suspicion of these crimes, as well as an arson attack that was also committed in the area.

The individuals have been released on bail and are subject to conditions which include exclusions from the local area and curfews.

The police are conducting further investigations to identify other offenders who may be involved, both for the graffiti and the arson incidents.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who might have information. Dashcam footage is also being sought. Please email [email protected] or call 101, quoting log 920 of 30 June 2022. If you wish to pass on information anonymously, you can call Crimestoppers or visit their website.
