Year 13 students in sixth form at Honiton Community College were given the challenge of presenting to a panel of judges their knowledge and understanding of alcohol.

Their presentations included information on unit measures, drinking and driving and the physical and mental effects of alcohol.

Apart from developing their skills of researching and presenting; the information given to the audience contained many facts that were not widely known and clearly demonstrated their overall understanding of the topic.

We were delighted that Kate Smith - Governor at HCC; Glenn Smith – Principal and Steve and Dave – PCSO's from Sidmouth were able to join us for the event and for Steve taking time to talk to the students after the presentations about responsible drinking.

Alcohol Awareness is just one of the many topics we deliver within the personal development sessions at sixth form, that covers a wide range of useful 'life information' for when they leave us.
