A group of Honiton swimmers have taken home a 'big haul' of medals after competing in Plymouth.

Honiton Stingrays took a team of 15 swimmers to the Dawlish Firecracker Gala, which was held in Plymouth, over two days, on Saturday, October 26, and Sunday, October 27.

Competing against teams from throughout the South West and Wales, the team entered 61 events and had a fantastic performance, winning a big haul of medals, with personal best times tumbling yet again.

Megan Layzell achieved a silver medal in the 200m breaststroke and 50m butterfly alongside a bronze in the 100m freestyle.

The club swims on Sunday afternoons and Friday evenings at Honiton Pool and new members are always welcome.
