Honiton swimming pool is set to reopen tomorrow morning (1 Oct), with reduced facilities available due to ongoing refurbishment of the changing rooms.

The pool will be open provisionally in the mornings and again from 3.45pm for lessons, public swimming and clubs.

A spokesperson for LED Community Leisure said: "We are adopting a 'beach ready' changing policy and changing rooms will be out of use before and after your swim.

"As changing will be on poolside we advise bringing a changing robe or gown so that you can dry and change on poolside with discretion.

"There will be no hair driers, however for people wishing to shower and dry hair, the changing rooms at the leisure centre across the car park can be used if available.

"The accessible changing facilities will be available at the poolside for those in need of this.

"To access the pool, customers will be asked to follow the path to the right of the building where entry will be via the fire exits. A numbered basket for your belongings will be provided and changing will be at the corresponding number on the poolside benches or chairs."

"Whilst we are delighted to be able to reopen your community pool, we appreciate that the new arrangements might not suit all swimmers," they continued.

"We understand and are looking forward to fully reopening in early 2021, following the changing room development work.

"The option remains for you to pay as you go, and this can be done by booking and paying online, over the phone or at the leisure centre reception by card payment. Please note that the reception at the pool will not be open.

"We cant wait to welcome you back!"
