Honiton Tesco has made a generous donation to the Honiton British Legion.

The group asked the Honiton Tesco if they would make a contribution to the British Legion's summer BBQ, which will take place in July.

Tesco donated £500 to the cause. The money will be used to reduce the cost of the BBQ for members of the British Legion by paying for raffle prizes and for the food.

Richard Harker is the Chairman of the Honiton British Legion. He told Nub News: "It's extremely important to get veterans together and share experiences and talk to help aid mental health and well being.

"What happens during service life can't be equated to in the civilian world so it's nice to get like minded people together and support them where they need it.

"Tesco's help will ensure our local members and veterans have a memorable day."
