A second hand book stall in Honiton Tesco has raised £400 for Operation Rudolph.
Operation Rudolph is a community event which offers support to those in need at Christmas. It provides meat boxes for those who are able to cook at home, a Christmas meal at Mackarness Hall and presents.
Last week the Great South West Scone Off event at the Deer Park generated 100 presents for the charity.
Duncan Sheridan-Shaw is the Community Champion for Honiton Tesco and he gave the donation to Sharon Thorne and Caroline Retter, who organise Operation Rudolph as part of their Community Interest Group, Inspiring Connections.
The donation was raised from the second hand book stall in the store.
Caroline Retter spoke to Nub News about the donation. She said: "The team behind Operation Rudolph would like to thank Duncan and the Tesco customers and staff for their generosity and support.
"Operation Rudolph is a community led volunteer project and would not be possible without donations such as these."
