There is an election for St. Michael's ward in Honiton today.
Voting opens at 7am and will close at 10pm. There were no polling cards sent out for this election, but voters are asked to attend their usual polling station.
You do not need to take any form of ID to the polling station in order to vote and you will simply need to state your name and address to the election officials.
Darren Bodfish and John Taylor have put themselves forward for the position on the Town Council, which was created by the resignation of David Munge earlier this year.
Mr Bodfish listed his address as 'East Devon' and was proposed by Lesley Reilly and seconded by Shean Reilly.
Mr Tayor, who lives in Honiton, was proposed by John Zarczynski and seconded by Cindy Zarczynski. Mr Taylor has been on the council previously.
