New Street Vets is appealing for anyone who may have lost a pet budgie in the Hornbeam Close area of Honiton.

The small pet bird has striking blue and white feathering and is thought to be female - possibly older.

This is according to Clinical Director of New Street Vets, Greg Axsel who said: "A lady found her in her garden in Hornbeam Close.

"She managed to contain her in a recycling box and bring her into us.

"She's a very friendly little bird and clearly someone's pet, so we hope to reunite her with the owner."

New Street Vets can be contacted on 01404 42750 or click here for their Facebook page.
