New era as nine elected onto Honiton Town Council

Following on from Thursday's local elections the votes have been counted and nine members elected onto Honiton Town Council.

Members elected for St Michael's ward:

BONETTA, Jake: 1268 votes

HURFORD, Helen: 1100 votes

MCCOLLUM, Anthony: 905 votes

PROSZOWSKA, Anna: 758 votes

MUNGE, David: 558 votes

Members elected for St Paul's ward

CLOKE, Kate (Independent): 864 votes

HANRATTY, Fiona: 831 votes

KEENE, Steve: 820 votes

SEXTON, Serena: 765 votes

It marks a significant day for the town, as there are currently only seven active members sitting on the council. With nine extra votes contributing to the mix – pending an additional vacancy due for co-option – the people of Honiton can expect some changes to how things are being run.
