New Lace Walk shop happy to open its doors in Honiton
A new charity shop in Honiton is looking for donations, shoppers and volunteers.
Brainwave opened in Lace Walk in August and is now open to the public.
The national children's charity helps children with disabilities achieve greater independence. Brainwave supports and works with the NHS, but it does not receive any funding from the government, relying on donations, purchases in their shops and legacy gifts.
Ruth Douglass is part of the team at Brainwave and she told Honiton Nub News: "Our mission is to improve mobility, communication skills, and learning potential for children through a range of specialist therapies.
"With over 250 children currently following a Brainwave Therapy Programme, we've seen amazing outcomes for the children we support and are eager to increase awareness of what we do in the wonderful community of Honiton.
"We believe in building strong connections with the community, and we can't wait to be a part of the vibrant and lively market town that is Honiton!
"We also need YOUR help to make this shop a roaring success! Whether you're a behind-the-scenes wizard, a customer service superstar, or have items to donate, we'd love to welcome you to our team of helpers!
"Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of the incredible children we support."
If you would like to volunteer or find out more information, you can contact Brainwave on 01278 429089 or email [email protected].
