CLEARED: Overturned car blocks A30 near Honiton

The A30 at Monkton near Honiton is blocked both ways following a collision just before 2pm this afternoon (Dec 1).

Police have reported that a car overturned in the incident, involving two vehicles, and they are appealing for witnesses.

Traffic is slow moving with delays expected from Hedgend Road to the A35 in Honiton - motorists are advised to find alternative routes.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were notified of a two-vehicle collision, during which a car flipped, on the A30 at Monkton, near Honiton, at around 1.45pm this afternoon.

"A male occupant of one of the vehicles is believed to have suffered a minor injury to his hand. No other injuries have been reported to police so far.

"The road is reportedly blocked but cars are being diverted through a nearby car park.

"Recovery for the vehicles is being arranged.

"Incident ongoing."
