Tesco Honiton donated £100 from their thriving and much coveted community book sale to local cricket club Tale Millers at a cheque-giving presentation this morning (26 May).

Club representative Neil Chambers contacted community manager, Duncan Sheridan-Shaw at the store to see if the local shop could help with donations towards repairing the club's lawn mower.

The club, who like so many local groups and associations have suffered during the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions and repairing the mower, will be the first step towards getting things rolling once more.

The presentation of the cash heralded the arrival of Tesco Honiton's new store manager John Haymes.

John wanted to thank customers for their obvious commitment to the local area and community groups and wished the cricket club all the best for the season.

Anyone wishing to get involved or seek more information about Tale Millers can contact them via the website.

As always, Tesco is happy to help and support local groups who may benefit from the proceeds of the book sale and any groups wishing to discuss this can contact Duncan up at the store.
