As one of the successful candidates of the Dragons' Den style competition organised by East Devon District Council last month - Honiton Baby Café secured the funding it needed to train five breastfeeding supporters to help new mums.

Nub News spoke to Lauren Costello-Fox, one of a few women who want to see regular meetings dedicated to breastfeeding mums held in the town.

She said: "We wanted to start a support group for women who are breastfeeding, in particular new mums, who would benefit from advice and reassurance."

Gabby, another mum involved, said: "I was surprised that there was no provision for breastfeeding support in the town when I had my second child and so together with Lauren and Clare (who used to run a facility five years ago until the funding was cut) we are trying to change that.

"It all came about just in time for the Dragons' Den event, so we received the money to train volunteers to provide breastfeeding support."

The Baby Café will be held at the Children's Centre on Honiton Bottom Road.
