Boston Tea Party and Porkies the Butchers are the first two businesses to be awarded with a certificate demonstrating a commitment to reducing single use plastics.

The certificates were approved by Honiton Town Council following a motion submitted by Cllr Caroline Kolek.

It is a joint initiative with The Chamber of Commerce and Fairer World Group.

Any business in or around Honiton interested in displaying a certificate showing that they are actively reducing the use of SUPs, can apply using the necessary form.

This can be found on both the Honiton Town Council website and the Chamber of Commerce website.

Certificates were presented by:

Tony McCullom - Chamber of Commerce

Geoff Gilbert - Fairer World Group

Caroline Kolek - Honiton Town Council
