Police search for man seen 'approaching' farm machinery in Honiton

A man driving a white van has been spotted casing machinery at a farm in Honiton, prompting a police warning.

Devon and Cornwall Police are advising farms and liveries in Honiton and the wider East Devon area to be vigilant after a report of a man in a white van approaching properties and looking at machinery.

A police spokesperson said: "The man drove off when the owner appeared at a farm in Honiton this morning.

"He was described as white, mid 40s, 5ft 9 with very short light brown hair either gelled or wet, wearing a short dark jacket."
