A family from Gittisham near Honiton have offered a reward for help finding their missing pet cat, Georgie.

The nine-month-old male cat has been missing for just over a week and his owner, Melissa Chadwick, and her three young children are desperate to have him back.

Georgie was an inside cat until April and long absences are unusual. Melissa is offering a £50 reward for anyone who can help bring Georgie home.

Melissa has contacted all of the local vets and Animal Protection, she told Nub News: "He's been gone since the May 4, at around 10.30am.

"I'm devastated that he's not home, this is very unlike him! I just want him home safe.

"My Autistic son is struggling without him and the unknown of if he will be coming home or not. Also my two girls miss him so much. George is our baby and we just want him home."

If you have seen Georgie or have information that might help Melissa track him down get in touch with her via Facebook.
