TRIP team quick to adapt services under Covid-19 guidelines

Yesterday TRIP would have taken a bus out for Sunday lunch, as part of the Devon County Council 'Doing What Matters ' project.

The aim being to bring people together, share a hot meal and enjoy the company of new and old friends.

However, given the Covid-19 'lock down' TRIP deputy manager, Sharon Thorne, decided it would be a good idea to deliver the meals as take aways.

Dan at The York Inn, Churchinford, where the original meal had been booked was happy to arrange the take aways and with Julie Tame's help (volunteering at part of the TRIP team) the meals were delivered directly to homes.

Sharon explained that over the last few days a lot of people had been contacting the Honiton Acorns Virus information line, being anxious and frightened.

So I thought it would be a great idea to get a hot meal out and just update people on what was happening to support people locally.
