The School of Art and Wellbeing sits amid the lush, green slopes of West Hill - overlooking Honiton, with breathtaking views that stretch as far as Dartmoor and beyond.
What used to be Manor House school (located on Cuckoo Down Lane) has been re-purposed as a centre for art and wellness pursuits, after the prep school closed its doors in 2010.
Since then, The School of Art and Wellbeing has been gradually building momentum; with founder, Mary Ann Mackenzie, at the helm.
For Mary Ann, art has always been a way of life - having inherited an artistic flair off her mother, who also greatly encouraged her.
The school caters for a wide variety of artistic disciplines, such as; water colour, life drawing, landscapes and wildlife. Each class is run by an experienced artist and makes use of two well-equipped, beautifully-lit studio spaces.
In addition to the art classes, various activities connected to wellbeing are also available. For example, Tai Chi, gardening and family constellations workshops.
