Thursday 28 July: Nostalgic Cinema: The Sting

The Beehive, Honiton at 2pm.

Part of The Beehive's Nostalgic Cinema Programme and designed to be dementia friendly. Everyone is welcome and the film has subtitles.

Come along to watch The Sting, staring Robert Redford and Paul Newman.

Thursday 28 July: Recovery Library and Drop-in Launch

10am - 1pm at Thelma Hulbert Gallery

The Honiton Recovery Library and Drop-in is relaunching on Thursday. This is a group provided by Devon Partnership NHS Trust to support mental health and wellbeing.

They are hosting a celebration morning at Thelma Hulbert Gallery where there will tea and cakes and a range of activities on offer, including bracelet-making and meeting Patrick the Miniature Shetland Pony.

This is a free event. Babies (pre-toddler) are welcome and this is a safe space for breastfeeding.

Friday 29 July: Elvis

7.30pm at The Beehive

The film examines the life and music of Elvis Presley, who is played by Austin Butler, seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker – played by Tom Hanks.

The Guardian said: "With electrifying performances from Austin Butler as Elvis and Tom Hanks as Colonel Parker, Baz Luhrmann's whirlwind biopic is cinematic dynamite."
