Events coming up in Honiton
Saturday 20 August: The Railway Children Return
4pm – 5.30pm at The Beehive. Adults £7.50, U16 £6.50
Honiton's award-winning arts venue is showing The Railway Children Returns, a heart-warming family adventure based on the classic family film.
Staring Jenny Agutter, who played Bobbie in the original film, Sheridan Smith, Tom Courtenay and John Bradley.
Saturday 20 August: Gate to Plate Food Festival
The Gate to Plate Food festival returns to Honiton on Saturday, after a hugely successful year in 2021.
Expect to see over 50 tempting food stalls, including Forest Funghi, We Are Kombucha and Dough Bros.
10am – 4pm on Honiton High Street. The event is free for all and there is no need to book.
Saturday 20 August: Evening with folk singer Kate Young
5pm -7pm at Thelma Hulbert Gallery, Honiton. Kate Young's set will start at 6pm. Tickets are £15 (or £12 THG Friends/Students) and booking is essential.
Kate Young is one of Scotland's most innovative composers and musicians, combining her voice with the fiddle to create intriguing soundscapes.
In 2018 Kate won the prestigious Paul Hamlyn Award for Composers and she has toured globally with many bands, including her own band, Kate in the Kettle.
