Friday 10 February: Aftersun

Five-star reviews and awards are pouring in for Aftersun, which stars Paul Mescal from Normal People. Mescal plays a father whose holiday with his daughter Sophie triggers bittersweet memories. 

Aftersun won best British independent film at the British Independent Film Awards 2022, as well as best director, best screenplay, best cinematography, best editing, best music supervision and best debut director.

Showing at The Beehive, Honiton at 7.30pm. Tickets: Adults £7.50, U16 £6.50. The bar will be open for one hour before and after the showing, and drinks purchased in the bar can be taken into the film.

Saturday 11 February: Rock'n'Roll Bingo

Come along for a fun night raising money for Next Generation Junior Carnival Club, who are based in Honiton. Bingo - but not as you know it! Numbers will be replaced by favourite songs.

There will be a raffle and bar and the evening is over 18s only. Tickets are £2 per player and booking a table is advisable - contact Sammy on 07545 860985.

Sunday 12 February: Pierre's Cafe

Gittisham's monthly pop-up café returns this week with a Shrove Tuesday special, featuring Creperie Bretonne by local chef Pierre Graeber.

The café opens at 10am for cakes, croissants and coffees and lunch is served from 12pm - 4pm.

Card payments are accepted and customers can bring their own drinks. Vegans welcome.
