Events coming up in Honiton
Thursday: Made in Tennessee
7.30pm at The Beehive, Honiton. Tickets are £25.
Come along to The Beehive to enjoy a celebration of the nation's fastest growing music genre - Country!
Guests will be given a taste of Nashville with Soul Street Productions' brand new show Made in Tennessee - The soundtrack of American Country.
Made in Tennessee takes you through the decades, from Country's origin in the Southern States of America to modern day Country music. Featuring classics from Johnny, June, Dolly and Hank, legends like Garth Brooks and Carrie Underwood and modern country superstars such as Kacey Musgraves and Chris Stapleton.
Saturday and Sunday: Hospiscare Open Gardens
Fundraising in aid of Devon charity Hospiscare - please donate what you can to this excellent local cause.
Tea and cake will be available and there will also be a plant and cake sale.
The gardens of the Old Rectory feature a stream, a tranquil goyle and a 5-year-old agroforest where over 150 species have been planted.
2pm - 5pm. The Old Rectory, Awliscombe, EX14 3PJ. There are laybys for parking just past the house or alternatively in the village car park further on.
Sunday: Special Summer Concert with Tenor Gregory Steward
St Michael and All Angels Church, Stockland. Sunday 11 June - doors open at 5.30pm for a 6pm start. Tickets (which include nibbles) are £12. Under 16s are free. You can book your space by calling Wendy on 01404 881207 or online here.
Please park in the Village hall car park and walk to the church.
The village of Stockland, which is located just outside Honiton, is trying to raise money to fix a leaky bell tower. All proceeds from the concert will go towards this cause.
The church is hosting a special concert featuring Tenor Gregory Steward. Gregory is an ex - Wells Cathedral school and a recent Honours Graduate from The Royal Welsh College of Music. He will be performing classical songs as well as those from shows such as South Pacific, Carousel and Les Misérables.
