Be prepared to pay for Sunday parking as council agrees extra charges

Sunday parking charges are set to be introduced in Lace Walk car park in Honiton, with evening charges to be implemented across the district.

Two other car parks in Ottery St Mary and Axminster will also see new charges brought in.

A new community testing programme to identify asymptomatic carriers of the coronavirus is being launched in sites across Devon, with Honiton pegged as one of the locations.

Around one in three people who have coronavirus do not show symptoms, so these tests are to identify those non-symptomatic carriers of the virus.

Sympathy for the wife of a Honiton-based charity volunteer raised almost £500 when blood biker Stephen Nash shaved off his winter beard in return for donations.

Married for 30 years Tracey Nash, aged 57, joked divorce had been avoided by a whisker after Stephen agreed to bin the beard if he could raise £150 for Devon Freewheelers.
