With everything looking a 'little different' this year and lots of the things we hold dear currently off the table, here is some news to add sparkle to the first official day of the Christmas countdown.

Honiton Forward have teamed up with Honiton Family Church on the High Street to hold a small Christmas Market in the heart of the town.

Custom built, chalet-style wood cabins will be set up in the space in front of the church, which sits just off the High Street next to Lace Walk car park.

It is hoped that this central location will attract shoppers and families, while supporting small businesses and local craftspeople looking for a place to sell their wares.

A spokesperson for Honiton Forward said: "Think mulled wine, mince pies, eggnog and wood fired pizza. Somewhere for some festive cheer for all the family to enjoy, whilst browsing local artisan delights."

Honiton Forward Christmas Market will run on the following dates in December:

Thursday 17 - Saturday 19: 10am - 6pm

Sunday 20: 10am - 4pm

Monday 21 - Wednesday 23: 10am - 6pm

Thursday 24: 10am - 3pm[.B]

Stall prices are £10 per day or £35 for all four days. Anyone wishing to book should contact Honiton Forward via the contact page on the website, or through the Facebook page.
