Welcome in the new decade by putting on a Coffee Morning to raise funds for your local hospice charity.

Hospiscare's annual Coffee Morning event is now under way and kindly supporting this year's campaign is Tesco in Honiton.

Duncan Sheridan-Shaw, Community Champion at the Honiton Tesco, has donated two £50 vouchers for Coffee Morning-themed hampers which will be raffled to raise money for the local hospice charity.

Hospiscare's community fundraising team will be at the Honiton Tesco on 14, 20 and 21 February from 8:30 – 11:30 with help, advice and (tea) bags of enthusiasm to support you in organising your Coffee Morning.

Event organiser, Toni Hiscocks said: "Working alongside patients within the day hospice and community team for the last five years, I have seen first-hand how the money raised from this event can support local people with terminal illnesses.

"Your support means that we can continue to provide specialist care to local people living with a terminal illness in your community.

"So get your spatulas at the ready, grab those aprons and let the baking begin!"

Throughout the area, people are opening up their homes, community halls, offices and even local parks to fundraise for Hospiscare. 

Whether you're itching for the opportunity to release your inner Mary Berry or just the excuse for a cuppa and a natter, your efforts will raise money to care for patients with terminal illnesses and their families in Exeter, Mid and East Devon.

Last year, Hospiscare supporters held more than 100 coffee mornings, together raising over £15,000. 

The charity is hoping to beat that target this year and aims to raise a whopping £30,000.

Why not hold a Coffee Morning with a twist and swap the kettle for a bottle of Prosecco and the cakes for savoury nibbles or try a Veganuary-themed event to show off your plant-based prowess in the kitchen?
