Transforming Honiton into a Mental Health Friendly Town is a new community-led initiative headed by Honiton Health Matters and Action East Devon.

The aim is to create a charter for change to help support young people and their families in the town.

A survey for young people and their families is currently being circulated, the results of which will help to shape an action plan that businesses and groups can sign up to.

In order to be effective, as much information as possible must be gathered to know what residents think a mental health friendly Honiton would look like.

This will help young people and their families affected by mental health feel supported, engaged and involved in improving their wellbeing.

The Honiton Mental Health Friendly Town Charter is set to be launched at the Beehive in March 2020.

The project is being led by local charity Action East Devon in collaboration with Honiton Health Matters and key youth organisations in Honiton.
