Honiton is preparing for two fantastic local events which are taking place in the next few weeks - Honiton Show and Charter Day.
You can read all about the events here.
Honiton Market Charter Day
Charter Day will take place this year on July 29.
This family-friendly event celebrates the day Honiton was given its Market Charter, which was back in 1257 and was bestowed by Henry III. Charter Day has been celebrated annually in the town since 2007, which marked 750 years since the granting of the charter.
Honiton's market used to be primarily agriculture and was held on a Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. It changed to a Saturday relatively recently.
This year's event is set to be well attended, drawing large crowds from across East Devon. Attractions will include classic cars and tractors, children's entertainment including face painting and bouncy castles, charity stalls, food vendors and a dog show.
Honiton Show
Honiton Show is traditionally held on the first Thursday of August and is held in a 140 acre site just outside Honiton. The show has grown to be one of the country's largest agricultural shows - but there is fun to be had for everyone, not just those interested in farming.
Every year approximately 20,000 Honiton residents, people from the surrounding villages as well as tourists and farmers attend the event which is host to the country's second largest hound show, over 1,000 livestock entries and in excess of 400 trade exhibitors.
There will also be several food tents showcasing the best of Devon's produce, shopping areas and a display from the Red Arrows.
You can see some photos from last year's event here.
This year's show will take place on August 3 from 8am.
