Happening today: Hot Pennies Ceremony

Honiton's historic Hot Pennies event will take today (Tuesday 25 July.)

The procession will start at the Pannier Markey (The Bed Expert) at 12pm and make its way down the High Street.

You can see picture's from last years event here.

This year's event will be the 802nd Hot Pennies ceremony, which involves throwing coins onto the street from pubs and businesses for children to collect.

Honiton's new mayor Helen Hurford, members of the town council and the Town Crier will all be taking part.
