Honiton: A motorcyclist in his 40s died in yesterday’s collision on the A35.

The incident took place yesterday (June 29) at approximately 10.30am at Taunton Cross, near Shute on the A35. The police and emergency services were called to the scene.

The two vehicles involved were a white VW Transporter and a black BMW R1250 GS Adventure motorcycle.

The driver of the motorbike was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 29 year-old male was arrested under suspicion of dangerous driving, and he has been released under investigation.

A full forensic investigation of the scene took place and the police are working to establish the cause of the accident. The police thank the public for their patience during the investigations and are appealing for witnesses.
