Due to coronavirus shutting down Honiton's school campus abruptly last month, GCSE and A-level exams have all had to be cancelled.
This unprecedented move means that students will not sit exams, instead their grades will be calculated for them.
The Department for Education (DfE) just announced that the grades for cancelled GCSE and A-level exams in England will still be published on the planned days.
Vice-Principal, Sue Manning said: "The initial suggestion from the DfE was that results could be issued earlier than usual this year; however, it has been confirmed A-level results will be published on 13 August and GCSEs on 20 August.
"We look forward to seeing students in college on the respective dates to celebrate their success.
"Now that we are clear about how we are going to calculate students' GCSE grades and what data to use, we need to clarify the next steps.
"Firstly, we want to confirm that Year 11 students will not be attending lessons when the school re-opens, however we are still here to provide advice and support.
"We are all aware that this is a very strange end to this phase of your education – and not as we had planned.
"Keep safe and take care."
Commenting on the situation, Principal Glenn Smith said: "Whilst our wonderful NHS is leading the fight against Covid-19 and making real sacrifices on our behalf, many others within our community are also doing their bit.
"Perhaps this will be one of the many aspects of society that change for the better during and after this outbreak."
