The Donkey Sanctuary is hosting a range of Easter activities to keep you and your little ones entertained over the holidays.

Easter Nature Trail

The Easter Nature Trail is a fun activity for the whole family. There are various wildlife habitats located across the sanctuary's land, which straddles Devon and Dorset, but can you find them all?

On the trail, find the different habitats and reveal which animals live there and use the stickers provided to match up the animals with their homes.

If you find all the animal habitats, you can claim an Easter egg and a biodegradable bag of seeds to create a wildflower meadow at home.

The Easter Nature Trail will be running until April 24 and it is £5 per trail.

Donkey Enrichment Sessions

Come along to learn about the importance of enrichment for the health and wellbeing of the donkeys at the sanctuary.

You will help to make either fruit and vegetable kebabs or sensory boxes. These will then be given to the donkeys, and you can watch them play with your creations.

The enrichment sessions last 30 minutes and they are being held at the Donkey Assisted Therapy Centre on the following dates:

  • Thursday 14 April, 11am
  • Tuesday 19 April, 2pm
  • Thursday 21 April, 11am.

No booking is required, and the sessions are free, but spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
