Mum-of-three Lauren Passmore-Smart (36) has organised another Clothes Swap after the previous Swap Shops were so successful.

Lauren, who lives in Honiton, is currently studying children's mental health, whilst she looks after her 2-year-old son, Bobby. Her elder children, Josh and Mickey, both attend Honiton Community College.

The idea behind the Swap Shop is for people to bring along clothes that they no longer need. They can then choose items for free that others have dropped off.

Clothing for all age ranges will be accepted.

If you don't have any clothes to drop off, you can instead make a donation. For this event, all donations will go towards the Honiton Community College Hardship Fund.

A previous Swap Shop organised by Lauren raised £250 for the Ukraine crisis.

Lauren told Nub News about the event. "Each Swap Shop I have organised has been busier than the previous. The one which took place on Charter Day [in July] was the best so far.

"At that event, there were a few people who mentioned to me about the cost of everything going up and that it's not often you get things for free, so they said they found the Swap Shop really helpful.

"It started as an eco-friendly recycling idea, but it's also really helpful in the current climate, especially when it comes to kids clothes. They grow so quickly that to be able to swap what they have outgrown to the next size up is really helpful for families."

The Swap Shop is taking place on Saturday 24 September in the Honiton Community College Hall. It will be open from 11am – 3pm.

Tea, coffee and cakes will also be available.
