A new gift and homewares shop has opened on Honiton High Street.

Cottage Interiors - which is located where Coastal Boutique used to be - sells bespoke and restored furniture and homeware and gifts, including locally made candles, vases, picture frames, wall decorations and trinket pots.

Restored furniture can also be purchased and commissions are also taken if customers would like something specific.

Cottage Interiors is owned by Claire and Luke Small of Lupitt. They have three children who attend school in Honiton.

Claire became interested in restoring furniture after she had her first child 15 years ago. She needed to fix a table and decided to try and restore it herself to save money.

The couple previously ran a similar shop in Cullompton.

Claire told Nub News: "We've been really busy and I've heard so many positive comments from people passing by, which is wonderful.

"I first started restoring 15 years ago, and here I am now running a business. I really enjoy it and it's lovely meeting so many people.

"I think we offer people something a bit different, especially the restored furniture."

Cottage Interiors is open Monday - Saturday. You can find the shop at 61 High Street.
