Honiton's TRIP charity will bring some festive cheer to the town later this month with a Christmas get-together.

TRIP offers a range of services in Honiton. Its primary aim is to bring people together and reduce loneliness and rural isolation. They offer support with transport, shopping, equipment and befriending.

For the last couple of years they have organised Operation Rudolph. This year they will be supporting Inspiring Connections who are leading the event in 2022.

On 21 December the staff and volunteers will gather outside Mackarness Hall and St. Paul's Church for festive music, mince pies and carol singing.

Wendy Williams is a Befriender Co-ordinator for TRIP. She told Nub News: "We're hosting the event to bring some Christmas cheer to Honiton.

"We really want to say thank you to all the volunteers who have supported us - both befrienders and volunteers. We also want to thank everyone who has used our services this year - it means a lot!

"We'll be collecting donations via our collect boxes and anything you can contribute to support us is gratefully received."

The event will take place outside Mackarness Hall and St. Paul's Church on Wednesday 21 December from 3.30pm.
